The college baseball season is fast approaching, and the preseason polls have UCLA and LSU as the clear favorites to make a run at Omaha.
UCLA, coming off a disappointing regional exit last season, returns a loaded pitching staff and an offense that ranked in the top 10 nationally in runs scored.
LSU, meanwhile, has reloaded through the transfer portal and boasts one of the deepest bullpens in the country. "We learned from last year," said head coach Jay Johnson. "This team is ready."
Opening day is set for February 13th, with a number of high-profile tournaments scheduled across the country.
