TUCSON - The Arizona Wildcats have officially claimed the #1 ranking in college basketball, a testament to head coach Tommy Lloyd's remarkable recruiting and player development.

Leading the charge is freshman guard Brayden Burries, who has been nothing short of spectacular. Averaging 18.5 points per game, Burries has emerged as one of the favorites for National Freshman of the Year.

"The culture here at Arizona is special," Lloyd said after a dominant win over Colorado. "These kids came in ready to compete and buy into what we're building."

The Wildcats are now 18-1 on the season and look poised for a deep March Madness run.
